Initiative overview
A multi-format educational project implemented at a primary school in Warsaw, designed to challenge and reframe children’s deeply rooted preconceptions about hacking culture through critical storytelling, participatory dialogue, and creative expression.
The initiative intentionally disrupted the dominant narrative of the “hacker as criminal” by introducing a more nuanced understanding of hacking as a culture grounded in curiosity, knowledge-sharing, and ethical engagement with technology.
The initiative deliberately reframed hacker identity from criminal stereotype to knowledge-sharing ethic.
Achieved results
Students demonstrated a clear shift in perception, portraying hackers as helpers and problem-solvers rather than threats. Collaborative poster-making translated complex ideas into accessible visual narratives, confirming both understanding and emotional engagement.
