Experiment overview

A large-scale interactive session at UNESCO’s TECH (Transforming Education Conference for Humanity) that adapted Futuro Card game format to engage hundreds of simultaneous participants.

The initiative transformed traditional passive conference learning into a coordinated participatory experience through strategic digitization and volunteer coordination.

Main objectives

The project scaled intimate learning methodology hidden in the deck of cards to conference dimensions by digitizing the Futuro Card game for simultaneous few hundreds participation, training a volunteer team to facilitate the complex multi-participant experience, and developing culturally accessible storytelling that resonated across the diverse international audience.

Achieved results

The session successfully engaged hundreds of participants in simultaneous interactive learning, earning a standing ovation that validated the experimental format.

The positive reception led to immediate additional opportunities, including invitations to schools throughout India and a follow-up workshop at the UNESCO MGIEP office in Delhi.

The volunteer coordination system effectively managed the logistical complexity of facilitating hundreds of simultaneous game experiences.

Main reflection

This experiment demonstrated that even the most intimate learning tools can be successfully scaled when supported by appropriate systems and preparation.

The highly precision planning revealed that interactive learning at scale demands significantly more preparation than traditional lectures, yet delivers proportionally great engagement.

The enthusiastic response from a culturally diverse audience confirmed that well-designed interactive methodologies can transcend cultural and linguistic barriers when core mechanics are intuitive.

This experiment was a valuable lesson for me that educational innovation often requires embracing calculated risk, exhaustive preparation, and the willingness to reimagine seemingly fixed formats - transforming what initially appeared to be “mission impossible” into a memorable learning experience.
