Every computer has its own unique story
Before it reached your desk, your device consumed rare earth elements from mining operations, required massive energy inputs for manufacturing, and passed through supply chains built on Human Rights violations.

After going through so much, should it be thrown away just like that?
The moment of truth
A computer with such a rich background should not become “outdated” just because someone decides it is, but that’s exactly what’s happening.
In October 2025, Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 10.
That doesn’t mean your computer is broken. It just means that someone has decided on your behalf, without asking for your opinion, that it’s time for you to move on, either by buying a new machine or upgrading to Windows 11.
But here’s the catch: most older computers can’t run Windows 11.
Not because they’re too slow or can’t handle it, but because of artificial hardware limits built into the system.
So even if your device works perfectly and could serve you for years to come, you’re being pushed into replacing it. Not by need, but by design.
This isn’t progress. It’s control. It’s a way to keep us trapped in a cycle of upgrades, waste, and dependence.
They don’t just sell you the software update. They sell the idea that you must follow their schedule - not your needs, neither your values.
The real cost of control
When companies like Microsoft decide how long your tools should last, you lose more than money. You lose choice. You lose power.
This isn’t just a technical issue. It’s an attack on your freedom, a quiet but brutal form of control over your time, your wallet, and our collective future.
With this one decision Microsoft:
☀︎ Forces millions to spend more, extract more, and waste more
☀︎ Ignores the value of the tools we already own
☀︎ Shows no respect for the resources: human, natural and financial, already invested
☀︎ Turns us from users into consumers, and from consumers into captives
Our needs don’t matter to Microsoft. Our values don’t matter to Microsoft. Only the next upgrade and the profit it brings matters.
We’re told to keep buying, keep replacing, keep moving faster. No matter the cost to us, to the planet, or to the freedom we once had.
Choose regeneration, not waste
We don’t have to throw away working machines. We don’t have to accept digital rules created without consulting them with us. We can choose tools that respect us and grow with us, avoiding those that make us feel small, stuck, or powerless.
Deep down, you know this. You feel it.
And you’re not alone.
Use Linux, write your own rules!
But don’t worry there is an alternative, one built on entirely different assumptions.
An operating system created not for profit, but for freedom. One that respects your privacy, values your resources, and treats you as a human being, not a target for monetization.
Linux is more than an operating system. It’s a way to take back control.
When you switch to Linux, you:
☀︎ Protect the Earth by keeping your computer running longer
☀︎ Take back control by choosing when and how your machine changes
☀︎ Stand for freedom by choosing a system that respects your choices
☀︎ Save money by avoiding expensive licensing fees and hardware requirements
☀︎ Join a global community that shares knowledge instead of extracting profit
☀︎ Customize your system to work exactly how you want it to
With Linux, you don’t have to accept planned obsolescence.
You don’t have to follow someone else’s timeline.
You are not just a user. You are the owner of your digital life.
What’s the plan?
I’m currently working on awareness campaign and educational toolkits to help communities navigate the transition to Linux with confidence and clarity.
Awareness rising campaign
Scheduled for 7.07.2025
Most people have no idea that their perfectly functional computers will soon be declared “obsolete” by corporate decree. It’s our responsibility and our duty to break through this manufactured ignorance and help people understand what’s really happening to their digital lives, but most importantly, their freedom.
When people discover that their reliable, functional computers will be abandoned not because they’re broken, but because they don’t meet arbitrary new requirements designed to force hardware upgrades, they begin to see the manipulative dynamics in which they were stuck for years.
I believe this moment of realization, when many people suddenly understand they’ve been treated as captive consumers rather than respected users, will become a powerful catalyst for choosing freedom over dependence.
Transition support
The next stage focuses on making the actual switch as smooth as possible. To make this happen, I’m developing a comprehensive transition guide based on real emotional blockade and needs.
Save the date
Most importantly, please mark these two important dates in your calendar:
10.10.2025 - the day when we will collectively begin the transition process
14.10.2025 - Microsoft’s end of support for Windows 10, but for us, this will be the date when we remind ourselves that united we can achieve something big!
In meantime come back here from time to time for the update.
