What comes with this update
In the rhythm of natural cycles, my permacomputing practice continues to evolve. Building upon the foundations established in the previous gardening session, this update brings new growth in several key areas.
I: Educational content cultivation
I’ve expanded the educational sections with carefully curated resources.
Like planting vegetables whose harvest grows above ground (tomatoes, lettuce, and other leafy greens), these educational materials are the fruits of my work that I wish to share with others.
II: Experience & Experiments sections
The Experience zone now contains a more structured presentation of my professional journey, while the Experiments section has been expanded to showcase my broader explorations in regenerative computing, foresight methodologies, and experience design principles.
These sections offer visible manifestations of accumulated wisdom insights gained through years of practice, observation, and reflection on my work with technology.
IV: Improved navigation
Like changing the markers on garden beds for better wayfinding, I’ve updated the header fonts throughout the Digital Sanctuary.
This subtle yet meaningful change enhances orientation within the digital space, making it easier to recognize different zones and their purposes at a glance.
IV: Observation
As with any ecological system, observation remains a crucial practice in nurturing my Digital Sanctuary. To enhance this vital feedback loop, I’ve implemented Cabin – a privacy-focused, lightweight analytics tool.
Cabin’s ecological approach to analytics (minimizing data collection, respecting visitor privacy, and using minimal resources) makes it an appropriate choice for this transitional phase.
It will serve as a temporary observation tool until I complete development of my own manual page views counter – a simpler, even more resource-efficient solution.
This custom counter will allow me to monitor interest in different content areas and react accordingly, making thoughtful adjustments based on your actual engagement patterns rather than assumptions.
